ECDL Certification

The European Computer Driving Licence, ECDL is the required IT qualification for many companies and government services, such as the NHS. Best Training offer courses & exams to help you achieve this qualification.

ITQ - Level 2 Certificate in IT User Skills

The new ITQ is a full level 2 qualification and an equivalent level to an NVQ, however you do not have to be working to take this qualifcation. It comprises 3 or 4 units of the ECDL together with an assessed module Improving Productivity using IT.

NVQ's

Best Training offer NVQs in:

Health & Social Care (level 2 & 3) - Full or Partial funding

We offer funded NVQs in Health & Social Care at L2 & L3. You must be working in the sector either paid or voluntary. Whether based in a care home, doing domicilliary care or other health professions our assessors can guide you through the qualifcation. 

Leadership & Management in Health & Care L4

This qualifcation replaced the old registered managers award and is for management staff, or supervisors who are starting to work in a mangement role. Partial funding is available and we can often discount this course cost as part of an overall staff training package.

ITQ - Full level 2 but not an NVQ - Full or partial funding

The new ITQ can be studied by anyone whether working or not. It is a sister qualification to the ECDL and any prior ECDL module test passes (within 3 years) can be used as credits towards the ITQ. We currently have full funding for this qualification so for the majority of candidates it will be completely free. You can choose from the Standard ITQ which comprises Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the mandatory unit "Improving Productivity Using IT" or you can elect to do the ITQ Flexiqual where you do the mandatory unit together with your own chosen applications to make up the required credits. You can study using Microsoft Office 2003 or Office 2007 software. Just call us to enrol.

NVQ L2 Business Administration - Full or partial funding

The benchmark qualification for administrators, this portfolio based qualification can be studied by anyone who has administrative duties as part of their day to day work. Please call us for further details. In most cases full funding is available for this qualification so it will be free.

Assessors Award (A1)

We are also accredited to train NVQ assesors through this qualification. Just give us a call to discuss

To enrol on the qualifications you must be working* and in a position to be assessed as competant in the key skills relating to your job role and the qualifcation.

If you are working then these NVQs can be fully funded through learndirect or Train to Gain.

The qualification is taken at your place of work in the form of assessments of your work by our qualified assessors and verifiers.
